Principal's Message
Thank you to everyone who has provided positive feedback about the new look newsletter. I am pleased that you are enjoying viewing it with this new format.
Last week our F-2s marked their '101 days smarter' celebrations, meaning that had been at school for 101 days of learning. What a fantastic effort from all the students and staff in the F-2 area. 3/4s continued to engaged enthusiastically in their mathematics 'thinking classrooms'. We also had T-Ball and Netball district finals for our 5/6 interschool sports teams. Today the 5/6 Soccer teams are competing in district finals. Good luck!
School Council met and have organised a yummy special lunch day - PIZZA! Details are included in this newsletter and order forms have been sent home.
The CHPS Student Leadership Team have been running lunchtime clubs with students, including games, competitions, colouring and sports. This is a fantastic way to engage children in social activities so they can meet and play with other children.
Thank you to all parents and carers who continually support their child's learning and wellbeing. With a strong home and school connection we can continue to work together to improve the learning and wellbeing of all CHPS children.

Hume Council Playable Cubby Houses
CubbyTown: Community collaboration and interactive installation
Hello! My name is Glen Walton, I’m the artistic director of Playable Streets, an interactive arts company that loves to collaborate and play! We are excited to be working with Campbellfield Heights Primary School and Hume City Council on CubbyTown!
CubbyTown is a home for the creativity, hopes and ideas of a community. The installation consists of three wooden cubby houses painted with words and artwork that have been gathered from the local community and arranged into an explosion of colour.
They are a place to explore the creativity and stories of the local community. Playable Streets will run workshops with students to develop the interior and exterior designs of the cubbies. We will also collect recordings from participants that play inside the cubbies accompanied by a unique musical score.
CubbyTown has previously appeared at (Dream Big Festival, Adelaide and the City of Boroondara Street Festival). This presentation for the city of Hume will re-imagine the work inspired by the creativity of the Hume community.
