Weekly Update
Monday December 19, 2022
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings CLRES Team!
The holiday season is upon us! We have 3 days until the holiday break. As I stated at the staff meeting, make sure you are being purposeful with your time management and planning so that you have all your planning and prep done when you leave on Thursday. As we all know, the time will fly by and you deserve and need this time to disconnect from the work.
As you plan for holiday celebration, remember structure is key. Parties should not exceed 1 hour and I strongly suggest making it the last hour of the day. Keep in mind all families do not celebrate christmas, so be inclusive in your activities. Also for some adults and students this is a stressful anxiety filled time of year. Not everyone is excited about the winter break so be mindful that this may be triggering students ( and adults).
I know we are ready for a well-deserved break. To help keep our sanity this week, keep the focus on structure and meaningful use of time. This is a great time to review previous learning and catch up on missing work. Please be sure to review the entire update as there are some time sensitive action items.
I know we'll make it a great (short) week on purpose.
Dr. Dunn
