The Solution to Pollution
by: clauds & liz
Pollution is a major problem in all different places, all around the world. Although pollution is a problem there are many ways that people can prevent it.
Some solutions include:
The great barrier reef cleanup in October
In this project, "Almost 4,000kg of debris were collected by more than 500 local volunteers from across Queensland during the great barrier reef clean up," (Tecsan 1). This article shows that people can help solve pollution. In this case, people invested their time into cleaning up trash around the great barrier reef to help their environment.
Mealworms make a meal out of plastic rubbish
Stanford and Beihang University in Beijing found that, "Mealworms can eat and rapidly breakdown Styrofoam that is generally thought to be non-biodegradable" (Ziv 2). This article shows that mealworms can eat and breakdown styrofoam and other plastics that does not usually breakdown naturally and is bad for the environment. This shows that people can always come up with new ways to prevent pollution.
What can be done to reduce New Delhi's air pollution?
Delhi has cleaned up their air before by, "Moving polluted industries out of the city, shut down coal burning power plants and forced public transport vehicles to move from diesel and petrol to cleaner gas alternatives," (Jha 3). This article shows that there are many great ways to end pollution. These are all great ways to help and prevent pollution so the air in New Delhi can go back to being healthy and breathable.
According to our research, we can conclude that there are a variety of ways that people can help save the environment and prevent pollution all together.
