Teacher Money/ Student Supply Money

March 1st is the deadline to use teacher supply money as well as student supply money.

3rd 9 Weeks Report Cards

With the 3rd marking period ending on Tuesday, March 8th, the following schedule will need to be followed:


Grades K-6


Wednesday, March 9th- Teachers are to have grades ready and in TAC for report cards by first thing in the morning

Thursday, March 10th- Registrars will make sure all data is received and will print the report cards

Friday, March 11th- Report cards will be distributed to teachers to be passed out at P/T Conferences


Message from our APIF...

3rd & 4th Grade will do their embedded session #5 Tuesday February 16th...Jana and I will work with them in their classrooms on getting logged in and taking the ACT Aspire Infrastructure Trial so they will be able to model with students on the 17th and 18th.

Some information to share...


Let teachers know that they will start to see a Test Nav App on all Chromebooks. On the Infrastructure Trial dates and ACT Aspire testing dates the Chromebooks will be completely in Test Nav...meaning, you will be unable to use them for anything else.

Internet Safety

We have the Attorney General's Office coming to do an Internet Safety Assembly with our 3rd and 4th grade students on Tuesday, February 16th. Times will be given later this week.


The Attorney General's Office will also conduct an Internet Safety Meeting for our parents that evening beginning at 5:00. This is not required for teachers but remember that knowledge is power. Students and our own children know how to work computers and the Internet better than we do.

One Book One School... CHARLOTTE'S WEB

For the month of April, we will complete our One Book One School with Charlotte's Web.


April 1st will be the kick-off celebration and mark your calendars for April 28th for Literacy Night with the Southside County Fair.


March 31st Decorate Building Entrance/Cafe’- The One Book One School Committee is creating a decorating team. We will transform the cafeteria and front entrance into a barn/farm/county fair! Plan to be apart of the decorating team and join us for the fun of transforming Southside. Dinner provided!


More information will be shared from Mrs. Bridges and the Literacy Committee. Thank you all for working hard on our One Book One School project this year. I look forward to the fun!
