10/20/19 Home and School Newsletter
http://young.ipsd.org/
It's eight weeks into the school year and we have completed the first quarter. Report cards for 1st-5th grade students will go live on Friday, October 25 after 4:00 pm in eschool. Kindergarten students will only have only a math report card for the first quarter. Parents will need their username and password to access their child's report card and attendance information on October 25. https://ipe-hac.eschoolplus.powerschool.com/HomeAccess
October is Fire Safety Month. The Aurora Fire Department visited with 2nd grade students last week and will be visiting with 1st grade students this week to talk about Fire Safety in the home and school.
On Friday, October 25 Young students will participate in the PTA sponsored Fall Party. The Fall Party is coordinated by PTA volunteers who have signed up to assist at this party. Please note that only parents who have previously signed up with the PTA and been confirmed by the PTA as a fall party volunteer are able to attend.
Students will change into their costumes before celebrating in their classrooms. Students will change back into their clothes before they leave school. We ask that parents not send food items to school. Students will receive a nurse approved treat (Halloween Oreos) as a snack during the fall party.
If you would like your child to participate in an alternate activity during the fall party, please contact the classroom teacher. Students participating in the alternate activity will do online activities in the lmc.
We look forward to another great week as we enter the second quarter of the school year.
Sincerely,
Ms. Morgan
