WANTED: New President
By: Jody Houlihan
If you wish to serve the United States people, you must meet specific qualifications. You must be 35 years old or older, a natural born U.S. citizen, and you have to have lived in U.S. for 14 years.
Description of Duties:
You want to lead the people? Well some of your jobs would be to talk about foreign policies with foreign diplomats and leaders, make critical decisions during times of war, sign bills, make national budgets, and many more things.
To be the next president, you must meet some specific guidelines of character. You must follow laws and basically be a perfect law-abiding citizen. (Unless you J-Walk, everyone does that.) Another trait you must have is you must be open minded to people of all races, creeds, religions, sexual orientations, gender, colors, disabilities, and economic statuses. You must be able to think well under pressure and stick up for the little guy when times get tough, the American people being the little guy. One more trait you should have is you should not be focused on winning power, but winning for the position of helping make the U.S. a better place to live.
The best part of a good job, aside from helping people of course, is the benefits that it includes. You will earn a salary of $400,000 a year for life (WOW). You will also have the luxury of living in the White House with all the history that it has. If you become president, you will be there for four years, unless you do something drastically wrong. You may be elected for two terms, if we like you.
