Automated External Defibrillators
The ROCORI School District is partnering with the Advocates for Health to bring Automated External Defibrillators stations at multiple locations throughout the district. Thank you to the cities of Cold Spring and Richmond for partnering on this benefit to our communities.
Spartan Parade of Champions 2019
The ROCORI Activities Department has created a new tradition at ROCORI to celebrate state entrants at the end of the fall and winter seasons. (Spring will happen too late as school will be out) We have a number of students who have achieved state in both individual and team contests. These athletes went to the outlying buildings as a group and marched the halls. In each building, the band played the Spartan Song and greeted the students as they marched through. This allowed for all ROCORI students in Rockville, Cold Spring and Richmond to be included in the celebration of success.
Click on the picture below to play the video from the parade.
ROCORI Budget Information
ROCORI School Board passed its revised budget at its December 16th School Board Meeting. Enrollment increases over the past year have helped paint a positive financial picture. Revenue increases as enrollment increases, but so do necessary expenditures in order to serve our students. It is our responsibility to educate our students and maintain good business practices at the same time. ROCORI has balanced the needs of an increased student population while still putting dollars into our fund balance. Not an easy task but thanks to the hard work of all staff we have accomplished that feat. The key line to look at is the highlighted line in the first block called unassigned. See the document attached and further explanation.
Any questions can be directed to Brad Kelvington or Beth Bertram in the District Office.

Transportation Message
Last evening and again on January 1st, as a reminder, you received and will receive a voice message from me on transportation. It reads like this:
Beginning January 2nd, 2020, to accommodate changing weather conditions, we are making updates to bus pick up times. All students riding Voigt’s busses (these are bus numbers that begin with 4) and students riding Richmond bus numbers 10, 13, 17, 18, and 20 will have a 5 minute earlier pick up time in the morning.
Again, any students riding a Voigt’s bus and Richmond bus numbers 10, 13, 17, 18, and 20 will be picked up 5 minutes earlier when we return from break January 2nd.
Thank you!
