Mrs. Blankenship's News You Can Use
Week of April 18, 2016
GMAS
I have promised the children " Mrs. Blankenship's Famous Mac n Cheese" as a reward for perfect attendance on all testing days! Dr. Markham will also be rewarding students for attendance and great effort. Please encourage your children to be well rested, fed, and ready to go on time each testing day. If your child eats breakfast at school, please also make sure that the account is not overdrawn. Thank you!
If you would be willing to donate a peanut free snack (no beverages are needed), please email Mrs. Blankenship. We are covered for next week (Thank you Mrs. Stevens, Mrs. Lee, and Mrs. Mudaliar!), but would love to have snacks provided for the following Monday and Wednesday. We have 25 students. Thank you in advance!
Curriculum Update
From Dr. Shaw:
In math next week, we will review for Thursday's Milestones. I am encouraging the students to tell me directly or write me a note about what they want to focus on for our review.
In social studies, we have finished all new content for chapters 10 and 12. We won't test on these chapters until after Milestones testing is done. Next week, we will review.
We have also finished all new content in science. We will begin reviewing next week. There will be a science daily grade on Friday covering magnetism. There is not a Milestones assessment Friday.
Note: All science and social studies unit vocabulary sets have been added to Quizlet for the students to review.
