School's Out for Summer!
We had a wonderful 2022-2023 school year at Royall and are so thankful for all the memories that we have made! Thank you for all of your support this year and for all that you have done to make our year successful. Have a terrific summer, and we will see you soon! We are looking forward to another fantastic year of growing and learning together as a Royall family!
Field Day: A Royall Favorite!
Royall students of all ages will attest to the fact that Field Day is one of their favorite experiences of any school year! From the famous "Hole in the Bucket Relay" to a very wet version of "Duck, Duck, Goose," this is a day filled with water games of every variety! Thank you to our PE teacher Erin Poston for all of her hard work in bringing this event to life and to all of the high school students who volunteered their time to keep our water buckets filled this week. Please enjoy checking out the pictures of this year's fun in the gallery below... We already can't wait for next year!
2023 Senior Walk
On Monday, May 22, seniors from the graduating class of 2023 who attended Royall in elementary school returned to our campus to walk the halls in their caps and gowns. With the notes of "Pomp and Circumstance" ringing through the air, the graduates were greeted with cheers and handmade signs from our current students who were delighted to spend time celebrating with them. We are so proud of each of our Royall graduates and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
Fifth Grade Celebration
Munching sweet treats, taking fun pictures, and making memories with friends were all highlights of the day on Wednesday as Royall's fifth grade students danced their way into summer! In celebration of their last days at Royall before middle school, they were invited to the auditorium for a beautifully decorated party that featured our very own Coach Allen as DJ. Around the room, party stations included a snack table featuring cupcakes, popcorn, and Prime drinks as well as a photo booth, candy buffet, and memory book signing area. The event concluded with a Parent Picnic, and it was truly delightful to see so many families enjoying lunch and time together. We will miss this group of students next year and wish them all the best of luck in middle school!
Songs of Friendship and Hope
The Royall Young Singers took the stage on Tuesday night, May 23, to present "Songs of Friendship and Hope" to a crowd that packed the school auditorium! This beautiful program directed by Royall music teacher Jennifer Foxworth featured pieces that included "Friendship Canon," a "Disney Friendship Medley," and "Forever Friends." One of our Royall custodians, Mr. Hawkins, even made a special cameo appearance during one selection! Smiles filled the stage and some tears were shed in the audience as the beautiful harmonies of the Young Singers filled the air. It was truly a special evening that was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Watermelon for the Win!
Second grade capped off a year of learning this week with a fun study about the life cycle of watermelons! As the pictures show, the highlight of their exploration was definitely watermelon tasting outside on the Royall playground! What fun to watch these students enjoying this tasty summertime treat!
Kindergarten Parent Picnic
We are so proud of our Royall kindergarten students, and it was a delight to celebrate them on Wednesday at their end of the year Parent Picnic! Beautiful sunny skies created perfect conditions for their day of memory making on the kindergarten playground! Thank you to all of our wonderful Royall kindergarten teachers and assistants for helping these students have a wonderful first year of learning with us!
Strings on Stage: A Spring Concert
On Thursday morning, the Royall Strings Ensemble presented a beautiful program of music that featured performances on violin, viola, and cello! Under the direction of Jennifer Foxworth, the group performed a variety of pieces that included a selection from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. They also played a round together and demonstrated many of the aspects of technique that they have learned this year. We are extremely proud of this group of students for their dedication and effort, and all who were in attendance thoroughly enjoyed listening to their performance!
Third Grade: Tropical Paradise
Royall's third grade teachers worked hard on Tuesday after school to transform their learning environment into a "Tropical Paradise." From inflatable palm trees in the corners to leis for every student, their efforts created a magical and memorable day for students on Wednesday!
