Childhood
First, I am going to tell you about William Penn's childhood. William Penn was from England. His country was having hard times. He was born in 1644. He was from a rich family and had a good education.
Important contributions
Secondly, William Penn found Pennsylvania. William penn created Philadelphia. William Penn spoke to the king of England and had a plan to leave and make his own colony.He wanted to have a free land for everyone.
The Quakers
Last William Penn was a Quaker. Quakers were against slavery and war. William Penn went to jail two times to be a Quaker. His father kicked him out of the house for being a Quaker. William Penn was homeless for a little.
Conclusion
That is why I think William Penn is an important part of American history.
