FDR's Early Foreign Policy
By Satvik Vasireddy
Neutrality equals Safety
Neutraity Acts of 1935-37 are the way to go. Includes: goods embargo, stoppage of cash and credit….all will help us stay neutral
Territorial Freedom
Atlantic Charter of 1941 allows for self determinism, like in the 14 points. Territories pick their own govt and leaders.
Ships and Naval Issues
Destroyer-for-Bases allows for a fair deal with no rental. Naval destroyer ships could be traded for the use of military bases in Britain.
Selling weapons for Defense=Safety
The Lend-Lease Act of 1941 allowed the arms sale to Allies. Our Country can defend against the dreaded Axis powers.
