William Lloyd Garrison was an famous American journalist, abolitionist and social reformer. He was the son of a merchant sailor. William's mother struggled to raise him at a young age, until they reunited later in the years.

How he got involved
Abolition
W.L.G accepted the offer of having and editor position. In 1830, his own self went independent by writing a paper on abolitionist called "The Liberator". The liberator had a important motto saying "Our country is the world, our countrymen are mankind". This defined him as a abolitionist.He was 25 years old by the time he joined the American society and many more society's after, like the Anti-slavery society in 1832 England. He looked to the constitution as pro-slavery.

Journalism
William began doing many newspaper jobs, then had a passion to have his own newspaper. After 1826 , he was borrowing money from close people to get a special article , then he renamed it something better.
W.L.G and slave Frederick Douglass had produced a series of 40 anti-speeches in the Alleghenies.
