News from School to Home
What a year!!
We have had so much fun this year at WS. I will never forget riding that motorcycle through the school. OK... so maybe it was a moped but it was fun!! Movie night on the playground, graduation ceremonies, Christmas around the world, fitness frenzy, and Cinco de Mayo family night are just a few of my favorites.
Thank you for trusting us with your most prized possession. We hope that we have taught them above all to be rockstars everyday. The words we focused on this year are words that will help them build character throughout all of their lives. Respect, Organization, Cooperation, Kindness, Self Control, Turstworthy, Attitude that Shines, and Responsibilty-- these words are what makes a Westside Rockstar!!
Make sure you continue to read a good book over the summer. We want you to come back to school as a strong reader! I would encourage everyone to go check out our new community library. Library cards are FREE and its a great way to get new books each week.
To our fourth graders- Don't forget to come back and see us. Once a WS kid, always a WS kid!!
Enjoy time with your families, play outside as much as you can, and have fun! The 2016-2017 school year will be here before you know it. I will see you all of August 15th!
Love, Mrs. Jennings

Bringing Up
We are so excited about this new program that we have purchased to help our Westside families. Bringing up is an online resource that delivers daily video based emails in both English and Spanish to parents. The videos feature real families modeling quick activities that can be done at home to promote success in school!
It is easy to sign up. It took me less than 3 mins. Bringing Up program is for kindergarten through 3rd grade, but 4th grade parents are welcome to signup. It is great information that will still be beneficial.
