What is syphilis?

syphilis is a STD caused by a type of bacteria known as spirochete that has 4 stages.

How do you get it?

You get syphilis through unprotected sex.

What are some symptoms?

Symptoms include:

  • Wet sores on the vagina rectum,penis, or mouth
  • sometimes rash
  • Flu-like symptoms

How do you teat it?

Going to the doctor to be checked out is the best way for treatment. If the doctor diagnoses you with syphilis early enough, he will prescribe for you antibiotics.

what are some problems?

If syphilis is not treated early enough, it can be very dangerous and cause death. In the first stage, it will cause wet soars called chancre. In the second stage, it will cause rash. In the third stage, if not treated yet, the disease will be "hidden". In the last stage, there will be numbness, blindness, and eventually, death.


Some ways to prevent syphilis, one way is to not have sex. another way is if you do have sex, wear a condom.
