CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to Dr. Lafargue on his promotion to Assistant Superintendent! We will miss having him as our principal but wish him well with his new position. I am sure he will keep Barbe close to his heart.
ACT Mid-point Assessment
The date that the ACT mid-point assessment will be administered for all Juniors is Wednesday, December 3rd.
IPRs
IPRs will be printed on Thursday, November 19th and will be distributed in roll call on Friday, November 20th.
Attitude of Gratitude
I am grateful for Kelly Fontenot and Becky Soileau who planned a wonderful field trip this past Friday for our students to Angola. It was an eye-opening experience and one they will probably never forget. The students were very well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
I am also grateful for Blaire Derouen and Lexie Griggs for taking on the huge task of the BETA club. The BETA students went to their first District Convention in Sulphur and had a great time networking and competing with other schools.
SLT Mid-point assessments
The mid-point assessments will arrive at Barbe shortly. The tests will be handed out according to the schedule previously e-mailed to you. Please revisit your e-mail for the schedule if needed. The window for testing will begin Tuesday, December 1st and will end December 18th. The tests need to be picked up before school on the day you will be administering your test and returned the same day so that someone else may administer the same test the following day. Mid-point assessment=mid-point of school year. Time is flying by. Hang in there!
Tech tip of the week

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am truly grateful to work at such a wonderful school and with such wonderful colleagues. I am also grateful for your active participation in the PLCs and being patient with me this school year. Safe travels to any and all of you who are planning to do any traveling over the holiday break. Love, hugs, and holiday blessings to all of you during this season of giving thanks. Enjoy your week off!
