Vista Meadows Academy
July 2020
Dear VMA Students & Families,
We hope that each of you are enjoying the beautiful weather we are having this summer! Currently we are working to finalize plans for a safe and successful "Return to Learn" in the fall. We have assembled a task force team that has many stakeholders from our school community. In the days ahead, additional feedback will be requested from each of you. Your feedback will be very important to inform many of the decisions that lie ahead.
Below is a survey link for all families to complete, we ask that everyone take time to respond to the survey. You will also receive a phone call from a VMA staff member to answer any questions that you may have and to finalize your child's enrollment in either our virtual/online program or traditional face-to-face program for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.
Behind the scenes work has been ongoing to map out various scenarios, based on the guidance and direction from the state and health departments. I am confident and hopeful about this collective effort, guidance and commitment that we will be able to create the safest and most beneficial plan for students and staff in the fall.
Our VMA website houses a COVID-19 page designed to keep VMA families informed with updates and valuable resources. Continue to stay tuned to our website, social media, and blasts for more information in the weeks ahead.
If you have any questions, you can call the school at 313-240-4347. We appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to ensure that we do what is best for our students, families, and the community.
Wishing you all the best,
Dr. Ticheal Jones
