  • 1/2 of all teens have been the victim ,the same amount are guilty of the bullying.
  • Cyber bullying leads to depression ,anxiety ,and unfortunately suicide.
  • 1 In 6 parents are aware that their child is being bullied.
  • Girls are more apt to take part in bullying than boys.

Tips :

  • You should approach your child if you notice any emotional /behavioral changes.
  • Follow your child on social media
  • Do not overreacted and blame them if they are being bullied.

How to avoid /handle a cyberbully

Avoid:

  • Do not accept friends requests from strangers.
  • Think twice about the content you post ,and how it affects others.
  • Keep personal information offline.

How to handle bully:

  • Be civil.
  • Do not respond.
  • Save all evidence.

Consequences of bullying:

  • Suspended from school and all extracurricular activities.
  • Civil lawsuits ,even criminal charges.
  • Could be charged under Ohio's Telecommunications Harassment Law.
