News From The Health Department

The Livingston County Health Department

The Livingston County Department of Public Health will be conducting a Hearing Screening at Spencer Elementary. All Health Departments in Michigan provide routine hearing screenings to identify children who have hearing problems or might be at risk for hearing problems. Children who do not pass the initial screening will be rescreened. If a child does not pass the rescreen, a letter will be mailed home recommending a follow-up with their doctor.

Students in JK, K, 2nd & 4th grade will receive a hearing screening. Hearing screenings will also be provided to students in other grades who are last-year follow-ups and parent/teacher requests. Spencer's HEARING SCREENING is scheduled for December 10 & 11 and the RESCREENING is scheduled for January 7 & 8, 2019

Please notify the school (prior to the first day of screening) and provide child’s name and teacher if:

You have a concern for your child and your child is not in the above grades.

You do not want your child screened
