Panther Nation Newsletter #20
February 5, 2021
A Message from our Principal
It's hard to believe that we're just a week away from our February Break. That's always a signal to us on our calendar that we're beginning our enrollments and registration for next year. We begin next week by meeting with the rising juniors and rising seniors to get their selections. They will be followed by the rising sophomores during the week right after the break. Make sure you're talking with your counselors during Advisory period. If you're a REMOTE student...make sure you're connecting with your counselors as well. All of this will be done on IC within the portal. So, ask questions and make sure your choices were registered properly.
Every year, as part of our Choice Week, we invite our rising Panthers currently in 8th grade to tour the school. This year, we will be providing that opportunity the week of February 22nd. Specific details will be coming out in next week's Newsletter. But be assured, our Middle School staff is coordinating with our staff up her at the High School to make those tours of the high school an informative and fun experience.
Speaking of Choice Week - we invite you to share your own enthusiasm for Woodland Park and WPHS by sharing information you find in our newsletters and online with others across the region and state. We know that our students have the finest educational opportunity in the Pikes Peak Region. I talk to so many of you who say the same thing. It's time that we all said it outloud to our friends and neighbors. Let them know that we're a great choice for kids and their education. Take a look below at some of the outstanding outcomes of a WPHS education. Let us know of your own positive experiences with WPHS. We might just feature you in a future newsletter or video.
Don't forget to sign up for parent-teacher conferences that will take place next Friday (Feb 12). As well, if you're new to WP or new to WPHS and would like a tour of the building to see what students see every day -please sign up for building tours and conversations with the admin team on Feb 12th as well.
Until next time.
