Ott Students are Ready to Rock the MAP Test!
This Tuesday, April 24, all third, fourth, and fifth grade students will begin taking the state MAP test. Students and teachers have been hard at work all year long preparing for these important, end-of-the-year assessments.
During MAP testing, students will follow a different schedule. Most 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will test in the morning immediately after breakfast and attend their specials classes in the afternoon. Students who require assistance may test at different times.
Students in grades K and 1 will attend their specials classes in the morning. Second grade will attend their specials classes in the afternoon. Lunch schedules will not change.
Here is our MAP testing schedule:
3rd Grade

Math May 1, 2, 3
4th Grade
ELA April 24, 25, 26, 27
Math May 1, 2, 3
5th Grade
ELA April 24, 25
Math April 26, May 1
Science May 2, 3
Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest before each day of testing, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives to school on time.

Look What We're Learning!
Kindergarten partners work together to find text features in nonfiction books.
1st graders practice their reading stamina during independent reading time.
2nd grade students take turns doing different tasks during calendar math.
Third grade students work together and brainstorm MAP test taking strategies.
4th grade students listen to the book Sweet Potato Pie read by a volunteer from Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs to learn about the foundations of economics.
5th grade students practice daily for the MAP test.
