If you are unsure who that is, please check with your student.
Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

What's Happening in Class?
Language Arts- Mrs. Murphy
Starting next week in Language Arts, students will be reading Feed by M.T. Anderson. This futuristic, dystopian novel will help us explore our big Unit 3 Essential Question even further: "What role should ethical considerations play in the advancement of technology?" Talk to your student about this text at home!
Please feel free to e-mail me at any time with any questions or concerns. I am happy to help!
Thanks for checking into team nine.
This last week we started to calculate the probability of having offspring with specific traits.
Next week we will be taking a test on Tuesday and starting to ask ourselves, how are sex cell made? How does meiosis work? Where did all the diversity of life come from?
Thanks for your time.
Math- Mrs. Williams
Students will review Tuesday for a Quiz on Wednesday this week. Topics on the Quiz include: Classifying Real Numbers, Squares and Cubes, Estimating Real Numbers on a Number Line. If your student needs help reviewing, they can use their notebooks, the study guide, or check Schoology for helpful videos and practice links. Assessment will be open note, so encourage your student to explain their notes to you; it will help them learn!
We will have blended learning on Scientific Notation in class on Thursday and Friday. Students will view videos, take notes, do practices, and review. All assignments will be turned in on Schoology, so be sure to have computers in class this week. Students will be assessed on their learning next week.
For information on grades, see weekly progress report email.
Thank you for supporting your student! For questions or concerns, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 717-4419.
US History- Mr. Janner
We have on approaching 80% about John Brown. Students will analyze primary and secondary sources in order to answer the question, "Was John Brown a patriot or a terrorist?" Other than that, most of our 80% assignments for this 6 weeks will be during our Civil War Unit, which will last about a month.
I look forward to seeing you at conferences in the next few weeks!
