Spring 2016

We, at Encompass Property Maintenance have had a great start to 2016 and are looking forward to continuing to grow and expand this year.

Springtime garden tips:

Spring is a great time to redesign your landscape. If you are not looking to so a whole landscape design there are plenty of tips to get your lawn looking fresh for the season.

  1. First, you will want to clear away any trash and fallen tree debris such as leaves and sticks. Trim off any dead leaves and branches from small trees, hedges and shrubs.
  2. The smallest details can make the biggest difference in curb appeal. Planting a few seasonal plants and flowers, or giving a fence a fresh coat of paint can really brighten up your yard.
  3. Over time, the mulch in your beds can decompose and lose its luster. An easy fix is to rake up the old mulch and distribute it evenly over the bed and put down approximately a 3" layer of new mulch, this will help prepare the beds for any new growth.
  4. Apply a "Pre-Emergent" weed killer to your yard or before you put new mulch in your beds. This pre-emergent type of weed killer actually kills the seeds that are currently germinating. You will still need to pull any existing weeds but it will save you time by not having to pull weeds in the summer.
  5. Spring is also a good time to get your pool and pool deck ready for swimming and entertaining. Pressure washing your pool deck will brighten up the area and remove any dirt or pollen that has collected.

All of these preparations can be easily done yourself and save money and time in the long run. If you need assistance cleaning up or redesigning your lawn or just don't have the time, Encompass Property Maintenance would be happy to lend a hand! Meet Allen...

Say hello to our newest supervisor Allen. He came to us in the beginning of winter for a part time position. His previous experience at his last landscaping job made it easy to train him, and has allowed us to make an easy decision to move him up in the ranks. Look for him on a job site near you.
