Let Your Light Shine!!

This week in circle time students were asked what special light/gift they have that they can use to make Pfeiffer/the world a better place? We all are special and unique. The students had some great responses such as their smile, their kindness, their love of others. Talk with your son or daughter about what words they came up with that are unique about themselves that brings a light to the world. Tell them all about the ones you came up with that makes them AMAZING! Students will also be creating their own holiday bulb to hang in the cafe.

Counselor's Corner

Pfeiffer counselors are making their way through the classrooms presenting guidance topics such as conflict resolution, empathy, career, stress management, social media/internet safety, and learning styles. Be sure to check in with your child to see what they are learning in these fun and exciting lessons! We encourage students and parents to reach out with any personal, social, and/or academic needs. Please feel free to contact us at anytime during school days 7:30 -3:00. As a reminder, if there is an emergency after school hours, please call The Crisis Center @ 330.452.6000, Perry Police @ 330.478.5121 or the National Suicide Hotline @ 1.800.273.TALK. Holiday Coin Drive

The Pfeiffer Care Team will run a coin drive the week of December 3rd - 10th. The Care Team will use the coins to purchase holiday presents and food for Perry families in need. Each homeroom will be given chain links during the week for every 50 cents collected. Last year, we were able to hand out over 50 holiday stockings to families.

Congratulations to Cathy Catazaro!!

Ms. Catazaro, our Pfeiffer Librarian, has been chosen as the Canton Repository Difference Maker of the Month. She will be featured in the Canton Repository in the near future. Ms. Catazaro has taken it upon herself to put the Pfeiffer library on a path to innovation and exploration. Ms. Catazaro has researched the idea of implementing a Makerspace initiative in the LRC. This is where the students have the ability to work in collaboration with others to be creative with marble walls, coding, use of robots, and much more. Thank you, Ms. Catazaro, for making a difference at Pfeiffer!!

General Mills Box Tops Collection Contest

It’s time to start collecting! We will be collecting General Mills Box Tops to raise money for our 5th and 6th graders at Pfeiffer. The proceeds are used by the PATS parent organization to support the many different activities and programs throughout the year. In the past, these funds have been used to purchase playground balls, storage carts, games for use during inside recess, and lots more. For each box top collected our school will receive 10 cents. At the end of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 9 weeks the 5th and 6th grade homerooms that have collected the most will receive a special treat.
