RSVP Mission
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) exists to match volunteers age 55 and older with volunteer opportunities to use their life experience and skills to meet community needs.

RSVP volunteers help during national days of service such as Make a Difference Day and MLK Day. RSVP is part of the Dubuque National Service Partnership, a collaborative group of Senior Corps and AmeriCorps programs working collaboratively to foster a culture of service in our community.
RSVP Dubuque County volunteers have huge impact!
RSVP Dubuque County volunteers gave 48,452 hours of service in 2013. The Independent Sector rates a volunteer hour in Iowa at $17.55 an hour. This equates to $850,332 worth of service. This is great return on investment.
RSVP partners for a stronger, healthier community!
RSVP partners with over 35 different non-profit organizations and healthcare organizations. RSVP volunteers spent 11,829 hours delivering meals to homebound seniors. They spent 599 hours listening to students read and helping with grade level reading proficiency. 588 hours were spent providing transportation to seniors. The primary focus area of RSVP Dubuque County is Healthy Futures.
