The CIA Report
September 2017 Edition
We are sure that your year is off to a very crazy start! Sometimes those especially crazy times make it hard to stick to a schedule or routine, and sometimes you get behind. That is perhaps what transpired with this month's edition of the CIA Report.
The awesome thing is that we can just keep trying to be and do better - and we know that we are working with very accepting individuals! So thank you!
Please take some time to read through this prior to the August 31 administrator meeting. If you have any questions, please post them to this Google Doc.
Learning Today... Feeding Your Professional Soul
Sometimes at the beginning of the year it becomes easy to feel overwhelmed by all that we have to answer, respond to, remember, and do.
It's important to remember that what we do matters! And the Kid President says so!
Teaching & Learning
Curriculum Updates
- Elementary - the scales for ELA and Math have been embedded into the curriculum documents to create a clear connection between the curriculum and the information that we report to parents. These scales can still be printed to share at parent/teacher conferences, but they would be printed from the curriculum documents.
Teaching & Learning Communication to Admin
- We know that you receive a billion emails everyday, and the Content Leaders want to be very careful not to add to your inbox unless necessary. So we are going to do something a little different. We will be sending you one collective email - only when needed - about once every week.
Teaching & Learning Communication to Teachers
- In an effort to be as transparent as possible and to ensure continuous communication, the Content Leaders and with Margo Mann have started a blog! The target audience is teachers in our district, but we would love for you to bookmark it and take a peek at it when time allows.
- The blog will include updates of curriculum work, shared resources, and recaps of time spent in classrooms with teachers.
- It is currently under construction, so give them a little time to get it filled out. This will be a great resource for all!
