3. Hammurabi was an ancient Babylonian king. He did some thing that no one has ever done before. The Sumerians had created the first written cuneiform. Using this wrtten language, Hammurabi created the first wrtten set of laws.


4. If any one ensnare another, putting a ban unpon him, but he cannot prove it then that he ensnared him shall be put to death.

If any one bring an accusation of any crime before the elders, and does not prove what he has charged, he shall, if it be a capital offense him shall be put to death.

If the owner do not bring witnesses to identify the last article, he is an encoder, he has traduced, and shall be put to death.

If any one steal the minor son of another, he shall be put to death.

If he hold the slaves in his house, and they are caught there he shall be put to death.
