After School Academic Support at SHS
Scituate High School is hosting an After School Academic Support Center for ELA and Math beginning next week. Ms. Antonelli will stay after school for ELA each Tuesday beginning October 17th, and Mr. Soucar will be available for Math each Thursday beginning October 19th. Sessions will run from 2:20-3:20, and late buses will be available. During this time students can get extra support while completing class assignments and homework. We hope students will take advantage of this opportunity to get the additional time or help they need to be successful!

Introduction to Engineering Design: Over the previous few weeks, students have learned how to use Computer Aided Design by following instructions to build a tank. In the process of building the tank, students were required to learn and regularly use terms like "extrude," "loft," "concentric," "helix," and "tangent," among others. As students got further into the project, they were given more independent challenges and the ability to customize their tank. As a result student designs varied substantially, as seen below with Stephen Cronan's "Green Meanie," Bellah Torres's "Barbie Girl," and Emmett Demeis's "Webbinator."
