Turkeys in Disguise
After reading the book "Turkey Trouble", kindergarteners disguised their turkeys to save them from being dinner! No turkeys to see here...
Second Grade Message to Guardian Angels
The 2nd graders loved the messages they got from their 8th grade Guardian Angels and wanted to send a message back.

Fifth graders (in-person and virtual) studied for their upcoming Social Studies test by playing Quizlet Live and Headbands.
School-Wide Spelling Bee
Congratulations to all the class Spelling Bee winners who made it to the CTK School-Wide Spelling Bee and especially to our winners: 1st Place - Isabella Nguyen, 2nd Place - Alex Reyes, and 3rd Place - Joseph Goodwin.
Sixth Grade Publishing Day
Sixth grade students wrote personal narratives and had their “Publishing Day” today. Their narratives were posted in the hallway and their classmates (in-person and virtual) and teachers wrote “glow notes” to let them know what they loved about their writings.
Learning the Parts of Plants
Students were happy to get some outdoor classroom time to learn about the functioning parts of plants. They dissected and labeled the parts of the plant before heading out to find their specimens.

It has been a beautiful November for outdoor classroom time!
Kindergarten Feast
Queen Rainbow Dancer, Warrior Bear, and Gorilla King are just a few of the names students chose for their Thanksgiving Feast today. They learned about how the tradition of Thanksgiving began and even dressed the part while they celebrated.
Computer Donations
Mrs. House and Mrs. Coppola loaded up the church van with old and outdate computers, monitors, printers, and other electronics and hauled them to be recycled.

The Bear Den
AAA Basketball
The Firecrackers and Mounties basketball teams took to the courts last week in their first inaugural game against the Horace Mann Bearcats. Our Mounties lead the league at 2-0. With a couple of close endings, our Firecrackers are still in the hunt at 1-2.
Cross Country Bears
CONGRATULATIONS to our CTK Cross Country Bears. Both boys and girls took Runner-Up this year. Many of our runners finished in the top 10 but all of our runners scored points to put us in great position. Way to go runners!
Volleyball Bears
Our school volleyball leagues have volleyed their way back on the court, working hard and winning to kick off this season. Stay tuned for updates in the next edition of the Bear Den.

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION
Family Rosaries Begin December 4th
Advent is quickly approaching and is the perfect time to formally kick off the Family Faith Formation Committee that has been working hard to plan for the families of our school. In addition to the Advent calendar that came home with your youngest child, the Family Faith Formation would like to invite you to the monthly Family Rosaries.

Christmas Crafts
For $6 you can order a Christmas craft made by your child! This year the PTO is offering a Christmas tree keepsake ornament. Supplies have to be pre-ordered so be sure to fill out your form before December 1st!

Santa's Secret Shop is famous for the amazing raffle baskets up for grabs each year! We'll have dozens of baskets for kids to choose from...plus a few for teachers and moms and even an extra special family get-away basket this year!
