God Shows Me What To Do
Elementary kids are learning "God Shows Me What To Do" as they learn about how Jethro gave Moses advice in Exodus 18 while preschoolers are learning "God Tells Me To Obey." I love how those two truths are connected: we can obey God because He shows us what to do.
This scripture in Exodus is a perfect example of how the Lord will use other people in our lives to show us what He has for us. Jethro loved the Lord and was able to help show Moses what was best for him and the people he was leading.
God is not a God of confusion. He's not sitting on the sidelines hiding from you. He wants to speak to you. He wants to show you the fullness of life that He has for you.
Whether it's something you're hearing or something you're receiving from someone else, how do you know it's the Lord?
- It sounds like His Word. (2 Tim 3:16-17)
- It reflects His character. (Ex. 34:5-7)
- It brings the fruit of the Spirit. (Gal. 5:22-23)
Reflect:
- What has the Lord been showing you lately?
- How can your team pray for you about that?
- Is there any encouragement that the Lord has put on your heart for you to share with someone else?
