Progress Reports

Centennial Elementary

June 3rd, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians of Fargo Public Schools Elementary Students,

Three times a year, Progress Reports are created for students by their teachers. The next report will be posted electronically Wednesday, June 3, 2020, on the PowerSchool Parent portal. The Progress Report is an important document that summarizes your child’s current progress toward the learning standards. Progress Reports are no longer printed and sent home to parents, so it is important that you log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal to view them.

Progress Reports for the spring of 2020 will be in a different format than the fall and winter reports due to the unique circumstances of COVID-19. Schools were not in session from March 16 until April 1, 2020, as FPS prepared for distance learning. Students began to work remotely with their teachers on April 1, on the grade level "home learning boards," along with supports and extension activities. Teachers will reflect on how the distance learning portion of the school year has gone. Also, a reflection of the entire school year will be provided by your student's classroom teacher highlighting your student's strengths and opportunities for growth in their approaches to learning, reading, writing, and mathematics.

All parents should have a PowerSchool Parent account and access to the portal. Any questions regarding parent account info should be directed to your school office. Access to the PowerSchool Parent Portal is available from the Fargo Public Schools’ public web site, www.fargo.k12.nd.us, by clicking the PowerSchool logo.

For step by step instructions on how to view Progress Reports, on the PowerSchool Parent Portal login page you will find links to helpful documents including “How to access e-documents in PowerSchool” for computer-based access, and “How to access Progress Reports in PowerSchool from a mobile device” for smartphone-based access (not recommended).
