Nuisance Items
McFee Families,
Please do not allow your child to bring items to school that could be considered nuisance items. We have seen an increase in students bringing Pokemon cards, toys, and cosmetics such as lip gloss and nail polish to school. These items cause a distraction for students and staff. According to the CFISD Student Code of Conduct, any nuisance items can be confiscated by school staff. We appreciate your support in keeping all student and staff focused on learning!
McFee's Birthday on the Marquee
Get your child's birthday on the school marquee! Due to the amount of students enrolled at McFee, please make sure you fill out and submit the form 5 school days before your child's birthday. The cost is $20.

ID BADGES
All McFee students are required to have two IDs; one is for their backpack, and the other will be on a lanyard that students must wear daily. FOR THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF PERSONS ON CAMPUS, IT IS A DISTRICT REQUIREMENT THAT ALL STAFF MEMBERS AND STUDENTS MUST WEAR THEIR BADGES DAILY. The ID badge is used to identify persons allowed on campus, get breakfast and lunch, check out books at the library, visit the clinic and reward Dojo points to students for following directions. If your son/daughter loses his/her ID, he/she must pay to replace it on School Cash Online. The cost to replace a student ID badge is $5.00. Click on the following link for School Cash:

Clinic Notes
A healthy school community requires parents and schools to partner with each other. To prevent/minimize local outbreaks of contagious disease, parents must keep children who have an illness that can be spread from person to person at home, and CFISD school nurses will exclude students with symptoms of a communicable illness from school attendance. Please be aware of the following district guidelines:
- Fever: A child must remain home with fever equal to or > 100° F and may only return after he/she has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine such as Tylenol or Motrin.
- Diarrhea/Vomiting: A child with continuing diarrhea and/or vomiting must stay at home and may return to school only after being symptom-free for 24 hours.
- Rashes: Common infectious diseases with rashes are most contagious in the early stages. A child with a suspicious rash must stay at home and may return to school after a health care provider has made a diagnosis and authorizes the child's return to school in writing or symptoms have resolved completely.
- Head lice (pediculosis): Students who have an active case of live lice may attend school only after treatment which eliminates all live lice. Head lice do not jump or fly and are most commonly contracted by head-to-head touch. Head lice are common in school-aged children, so parents should routinely monitor children for live lice and teach the avoidance of behaviors that spread lice.
- Medications: Per CFISD policy, all medication must be brought to the clinic by a parent/guardian, where written consent to administer the medication will be obtained. Prescription medication must be in the original bottle, and nonprescription medication must be in the original, unopened container.
A friendly reminder for Parents and Guardians:
- Extra clothes: In all grade levels, please send a complete change of clothes in your child's backpack in case they are needed for any reason during the day.
- Eyeglasses: If your child has prescription glasses, please ensure they wear them to school each day. Healthy vision is a critical part of learning well in school.

Important Information for Parents
- Morning Arrival - Student arrival begins at 7:55 AM. Parents who arrive after 8:15 AM or after must park and escort their child to the front office and sign them in. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Car Riders - Not every child can be dropped off in front of the door, so we ask that you have your child ready to exit the vehicle as soon as the car line stops at the walkway awning. Students should have their backpacks on and be prepared to leave the car when instructed by staff.
- School ends at 3:40 PM.
- Changes in transportation - Send a note to your child's teacher if you are making a change in transportation. Transportation change requests must be written and contain the parent's signature and phone number. For safety reasons, we will not accept transportation changes via phone calls, emails, or text messages; we will not honor changes after 3:00 PM.
- Early Pick-up- Only Individuals listed on the Late Arrival/Early Dismissal cards will be allowed to pick up students. All staff members go home to their families at 4:00 PM. If you cannot pick up your child at 3:40 PM, you must notify your emergency contact designated by you on the emergency contact to pick up your son/daughter. You, not school personnel, are responsible for childcare after 3:40 PM, so please plan ahead for emergencies.
* You must pre-register for a Visitor's Pass if you'd like to attend the Class Parties. Come in and have your ID scanned so we can get you into the visitor system.
Breakfast/Lunch/Snack
At McFee, all students receive complimentary breakfast and lunch. When your child enters McFee they will head to the cafeteria and pick up a Grab-N-Go breakfast before heading to class. Breakfast is served only from 7:55 AM to 8:15 AM, so please make arrangements to get your students to school on time so they can take advantage of breakfast. Every Teacher will set aside a time for the class to eat a snack. All parents are encouraged to pack a snack for their child to eat during the snack time. Be sure to put your child's name on the item.
Arrival Procedures
Student safety and security is our top priority. Effective Monday, October 9th, walkers will not be permitted to enter the campus through the front doors, even if an adult is with them.
The following procedures will be implemented starting Monday, October 9th:
Only students who are dropped off in the designated, staff-supervised car rider and daycare lanes will be permitted to enter the campus through the front doors.
All other students must enter the campus through the designated, staff-supervised gate located behind the portable buildings.
Any students who are crossing the street to get to school must cross with the crossing guards at the designated crosswalk located at the intersection of Plantation Cove Lane and Plantation Forest Drive.
The front doors close promptly at 8:15. If you arrive after that time, please park your car and escort your child into the building.
We appreciate your commitment to keeping all McFee students safe and secure. Thank you in advance for following the guidelines outlined above to ensure that all children, including yours, arrive safely to school every day.
Afternoon Car Rider Line
Car Rider line starts on Plantation Cove Lane and extends to Forest Drive. You are not allowed to make a left turn and enter the car rider line from Plantation Cove Lane.
Dress Code:
- Monday: Spirit Shirts
- Wearing hoods inside, crop tops, sagging pants with underwear, and short shorts are not allowed.
- **NO SLIDES on PE day. It is not safe for students to wear these shoes during PE, and students wearing slides on their PE day will be asked to sit out.
PEAM Schedule
A note from the Assistant Principals:
We want to remind our families that cellular phones and smart watches are to be kept turned off or silenced and in backpacks throughout the school day. Students are not allowed to use cellular phones during the school day including the bus ride to and from school. If a student is in possession of his/her cell phone or smart watch during the school day, it will be confiscated. A parent will then need to pick it up, before or after school, and a fine of $15.00 will be assessed.
