SAFETY REMINDERS
Thank you for your help in keeping our building secure. Families and students should follow these guidelines at Stanwood High School.
Students need to sign in when they arrive late to school. Students also need to sign out when they leave early. This information is helpful to check attendance and have on hand in case we have an emergency.
All visitors (including parents/guardians) need to sign in upon arrival and should only enter through the front (main) entrance.
Adults are now required to show ID to check out a student in the office.
Students should not open locked exterior doors for anyone. They should also not prop doors open.
Zero period students need to enter the building through the front (main) entrance. Upon entering the building, zero period students will go through the office to access the locker rooms.
Students should exit the school building by 2:30 p.m. unless they are being supervised by a staff member.
Students and families can use the SafeSchools Alert system or notify an administrator of any concerns (see information below).
NEW ONLINE PAYMENT PROGRAM
The Stanwood-Camano School District is implementing a new online payments portal called TouchBase.
With this system, parents/guardians can shop for items at their student's middle and high schools and pay fines/fees using credit or debit cards. A small transaction fee of $1.50 will be applied to your overall purchase. TouchBase is a secure site. This system will not be used for food service credit card payments. Parents will continue to utilize Revtrak for online food service payments.
Access the new TouchBase online portal HERE. Create a unique online payment password, then log in by using your Skyward Family Access username, and your new password.
If you do not have a Family Access login or need your login, please contact your child's school. It may take up to 24 hours after creating or updating your Skyward account before being able to log in.
We are excited to offer you a more robust online payment system! As a reminder, schools will also continue to accept cash and check payments onsite.
STUDENT SUPPORT ADVOCATE HELP OVER THE SUMMER
The Stanwood-Camano School District employs three Student Support Advocates (SSA) to help students and families get connected to needed resources, information and community services. Examples include: clothing, school supplies, medical/behavioral health access, food, hygiene items, and other basic needs. Student Support Advocates are located in all buildings: high school, middle schools and elementary schools and can be accessed directly by calling the SSA line at: 360-629-1480. This is a message line only so please leave a detailed message with your name, need and phone number, and one of the SSAs will return your phone call in a timely manner.

Family Communication
Hello Families,
This month we are focused on celebrating the hard work of our students. Whether we are celebrating graduating seniors, soon-to-be high school and middle school students, or incoming kindergarteners, I applaud the work of each student and family!
There were times this year when we wondered if we would be required to close schools and adjust our teaching models to hybrid; yet we were able, with your help, to complete our first in-person school year since the 2019-2020 school year. We look forward to continuing to improve our teaching and learning strategies, our commitment to school safety, and the professional development of our staff. Congratulations to our entire community for a job well done!
SHS Stadium is closed to the public on June 9 and 10
As the high school undertakes the task of setting up the stadium for commencement, we will close the stadium and field to the public on June 9 and 10. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you to the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation!
The Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation, in partnership with Stanwood High School and the American Legion Post 92, hosted their annual Scholarship Night Event Tuesday, May 31 to present Stanwood-Camano community scholarships for local seniors. Watch the inspiring video of the event HERE.
Thanks to the generous support of our Stanwood-Camano community, 106 graduating seniors received 258 scholarships from 108 donors, valued at $258,701. 18 of those scholarships were renewable for an additional one to three years, bringing the total value of the awards up to a record-breaking $308,701.
All scholarships presented on Scholarship Night are sponsored by local individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations. Many are from endowments that were set up years ago by local families to create a perpetual annual scholarship in memory of a lost loved one.
Graduation ceremonies to be live-streamed
