Event Management is an individual or team event that recognizes participants who apply skills in FCS courses to plan an event for a client (an educational institution, community or non-profit organization, business, or government institution).
Participants prepare a portfolio and oral presentation. Level 2 and 3 participants also complete an event volunteering experience.
This updated event represents careers in the Hospitality and Tourism career pathway, and is the first event to be scaffold to have a progression of skill requirements with each level, and will have three separate rubrics.
Complete event information will be available in the 2019-2020 Competitive Events Guide, expected to be published on or before October 1, 2019.
