Mrs. Rodgers' Weekly Update
Collaboration. Community. Learning.
Happenings in October
I wanted to draw attention to some things I have noticed after returning from maternity leave. A lot of papers that you were supposed to receive didn't seem to make it home from school. I will be sending multiple papers home with your child TODAY if they are still relevant. I very much appreciate your patience with me while I was on maternity leave, and I want to thank you for being so flexible and understanding. I know there has been a lot of confusion and miscommunication, as well as a lack of communication. Please know I want to remedy this situation, and if you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I also wanted to let you know my homework policy for the class is that they read at least 20 minutes each night and finish any work they didn't finish in class. (I give them more than enough time to finish most things.)
Again, please know I am available if you have any questions! We are beginning some amazing things! I look forward to sharing our progress with you as we begin to grow and as we brave the frontier with technology within our classroom.

10-26-16--10-30-15: Scheduled Conference Week
*PLEASE NOTE* Due to the fact that I was not able to attend Open House, I would like to do things a little differently the week of conferences. I would like to offer an Open House to our classroom and all of the things we have been working on, on Tuesday October 27, 2015. I would like to work a little more with the students before holding a formal conference with each of you. If you would still like to meet with me during conference week one-on-one I would be more than happy to, but I would still like to touch base with you later in the quarter. I think this will give me enough time to help assess the students better and give you a more appropriate picture of the students strengths, as well as areas where we could work harder .
11-2-15: NO SCHOOL
11-3-15: NO SCHOOL
