Bee Bots in the Classroom
How to integrate coding into every subject area
What is a Bee Bot?
A Bee-Bot is an exciting new robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool to teach sequencing, estimation, problem solving and just having fun.
Bee Bots in the Elementary Classroom
Bee-Bots are a wonderful tool to teach students the fundamentals of computational thinking. The small robot can remember up to 40 commands consisting of forward, backwards, left and right movements to maneuver around the floor. These commands develop students understanding of sequencing, computational thinking and the mathematical concepts of coordinates, distance, and location.
Integrating the Digital Technologies curriculum with other areas of the curriculum to create hands on learning experiences that deepen students understanding of particular skills is made easy with the use of Bee-Bots. The Bee-Bot allows students to create, explore, and problem solve to achieve success.

Do you want to use a Bee Bot???? Book Your Tech Coach!
Bee Bots have been purchased for BES & WES through the technology department. They will be available on a check out basis after you and your class have participated in a Bee Bot Basics training. To schedule this, contact your Instructional Technology Coach. Ms. Paul will be glad to bring the materials and robots to your class for a whole group introductory lesson. After that, you may check the robot out for a classroom lesson or small group activity (Ms. Paul would love to come sit with a small group during your station/center time.). She also has lessons printed and ready for your class room to use.
