New Club at Mann!!! Teens Make Health Happen
Join the new Club every Friday from 3:30-4:30 in room 100-304. Advisors: Ms. Bernabe-Monypeny and Mr. Pitre.
First Meeting will be Friday November 18.
Students will be participating in team building activities, wellness workshops and activities, fitness, mental resilience, leadership development plans. The club will also discuss challenges for teens and brainstorm solutions.

Greetings Community:
I am reaching out to inform you that our students, under the supervision of an attorney, will be presenting on a variety of legal topics in different locations in San Diego County next week. These presentations will serve to inform and empower community members to advocate for their rights and seek legal help when needed. All presentations are free and open to the public. Our students have worked very hard to prepare for these presentations and we want a big turn out!
Topic: Consumer Issues
Date, Time, and Location: Monday, November 14th at 8:00 a.m. at Rosa Parks Elementary School in City Heights
Topics to be discussed: The importance of maintaining good credit, how to protect yourself from identity theft and predatory lending, among other important topics.
Languages: Presentation with Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation

Date, Time, and Location: Tuesday, November 15th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Chicano Federation in City Heights

- How do I get internet access at home?
Various internet service providers offer free or low cost internet connectivity options for households. Assistance for any family internet related issue is available by contacting the Internet Access Line, at (619) 260-2460, press option 1. - How do I apply for Cox's Connect2Compete special home internet programs?
Applications can only be submitted online. Please visit www.cox.com/c2c. Scroll down the page and click the "Start" button to Check Eligibility and begin the application process.
- Can I just call Cox directly to apply for Connect2Compete home internet services?
No. Please submit the application online through the Connect2Compete site, click here. For assistance with submitting the application, please contact the Internet Access Line, at (619) 260-2460, press option 1.
- How do I request a Mobile Hotspot?
Please contact the Family Support Line at (619) 260-2460, press option 1.
- How do I connect my Chromebook to WiFi at home?
Power on the Chromebook. At the bottom right of the screen, click on the time clock, then click on the wireless network icon (upside-down cone shaped icon) and select your home WiFi from the list. Enter the password if prompted, and then click “Connect”.
- How do I connect my Chromebook to the Hotpsot?
Please follow the steps outlined in the Connect Chromebook to Hotspot resource document.
- I can't connect to the internet, what do I do?
Solutions differ depending on the type of network connection:
- For home WiFi - Make sure your WiFi is on. Restart the Chromebook. If still unable to connect after restart, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
- For Hotspot - Contact Internet Access Line, at (619) 260-2460, press option 1.
