Claudius England's Debut Album
For December 2013
“Your music is so real” is probably the most heard quote of those describing the music of the humble Montegonian, Claudius England whose strong and captivating style sits into no specific genre.
Ranging from his popular “Abstain” to “March Out” to “Claudius England in Worship” – England’s smooth style alternates between reggae, dancehall, ska, R&B, soft jazz, pop and a few others ‘yet to be identified’. His ability to appeal to various audiences was the catalyst for his dynamic opening of the Jamaica Jazz & Blues 2013 Main Stage where he made his mark as the first gospel artiste to grace the main stage on their International night where he performed alongside John Legend, Monica, Dionne Warwick, KC and the Sunshine Band, Romain Virgo and Chronixx.
Adding to his list of “Great moments” was also when Claudius received two concurrent nominations for the Chicago based International Reggae and World Music Awards 2012 and 2013 in the categories of ‘Best Gospel Oriented Song” and “Best Music Video” where he was nominated in the same category as Damion “Junior” Gong, Snoop (Dog) Lion, Vegas, Lady Saw, Konshens and Sean Paul.
In 2012, Claudius received the Love 101’s “One to Watch” Engage Alien Award and was also nominated in two categories for the Atlanta Music Awards ('Best New Artiste' and 'Most Uplifting Song.’). He also had the honour of once again representing the gospel industry as he broke the mold on the highly regarded “Layers of Soul” – Television Jamaica’s only live production where he engaged the studio audience and national viewers with his clear and exciting ministry.
With requests for his ministry coming out of Sweden to the Caribbean, England is embarking on his inaugural and long awaited album which will feature live compositions of some of his finest work. Due in December 2013, this album will also include surprise collaborations and unique bonus gifts as Claudius gives back to his faithful and loyal supporters.
Claudius is a man with a mission and has his sights set on sharing his music and culture with worldwide audiences of every nationality, age, culture and belief.
