Principal's Message
To the East Elementary School community:
We were grateful to host local veterans at today's All-School meeting. Our students had the opportunity to hear a few words about their service and they were an excellent audience.
As we head into Thanksgiving break, I'm feeling thankful for the East community: staff, students, and our families. We have an amazing team of educators who work hard to support the needs of our students each day, our students run through the door, ready to learn, and our families & PTO support us whenever we need. Thank you all for your impact on this school community!

COVID Tests Available
Thanks to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), The Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Public Health, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has provided at-home COVID-19 tests at no cost to school districts. These tests are intended for use by students and staff to support the return to school process after Thanksgiving and Winter breaks.
We are able to provide every student with two tests. It is recommended tests be used no sooner than 24 hours prior to returning to school after these holiday breaks. The tests are Flow Flex (single kits) which expire on January 20,2023. We will send these home via backpack with students on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Testing is only a recommendation and meant as an option for families to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. We ask that families continue to follow COVID guidelines from the state to ensure the safety and wellness of our school community.
To keep things streamlined, each student will receive two test kits unless you opt-out using the form below..
Please use the following form only if you wish to opt-out of receiving the tests by Monday, November 21.
