SAVE THE DATES:
October 7th, 6pm: MEFA for all parents of high school students, 6pm in WRHS's Auditorium... This seminar will provide information and clarity on the entire college financial aid application process. You’ll learn about financial aid applications and types of financial aid, the factors that determine your aid eligibility, how colleges determine the amount of aid to offer, and the details of financial aid award letters.
October 15th, 6pm: Seminar for Parents of the Class of 2023, 6pm in WRHS's Auditorium... This seminar will focus on building a good transcript for high school, reviewing the role of the school counselor and highlighting the career and college research tools on Naviance.
October 16th, 6pm: MA State Public College Fair at Nashoba Regional High School
October 24, 12-2pm and 6-8:30pm: Wachusett Open House
October 27th, 1-4pm: NACAC STEM College Fair at Northeastern
November 5th, 6pm: Demystifying College Financing, for all parents of students in grades 9-11, 6pm in WRHS's Auditorium... This presentation given by Dave Landry from the Central Mass College Funding Advisors is a must for all parents of college-bound high school students, including freshmen and sophomores. The strategies presented will help you protect your assets by maximizing your eligibility for aid, effectively lowering your college costs. This presentation will be held in the auditorium.
November 5th, 6:30-8:30pm: NACAC Boston Performing and Visual Arts College Fair at Emmanuel College

- Graduation requirements & review of transcripts
- How to get the most out of your high school career
- Google Classroom (each counselor has their own google classroom!)
- Naviance at WRHS
- Introduction to Career Cluster Finder and Career Interest Profiler
Counselors will also be meeting individually with their freshmen throughout the first semester.
2019-2020: Changes to Advanced Placement Exam Registration
Do you have a child who is enrolled in an AP class this year? There are some important changes that have occurred this year! CollegeBoard has moved AP exam registration to the fall. Students must sign up for the AP exams by October 15th to allow us ample time to prepare the exam order for submission to College Board! For more information on how to register and the cost of the exam, please click HERE.

PSATs: October 19th
Things to know:
If you have registered and haven't picked up a PSAT study guide, please feel free to have your child grab one in the counseling office.
Students should report to the cafeteria by 7:30am.
Student's will need bring a picture ID (Driver's Permits are not valid for ID purposes), #2 pencils and a calculator.
Room assignments will be posted in the Cafeteria on Tuesday, October 15th.
