  • 4 year old Title and ECSE Teachers and transition spreadsheet: All classroom teachers of students going to kindergarten need to access the link emailed to you to add additional comments on your students that will help their next year's teacher. For example, social stories are extremely helpful before transitions/thrives on extra attention/etc. You will be able to access and make additional notes if needed through the rest of this year however, we need all 4/5 year old teachers to make these comments on the shared spreadsheet by February 26th.

Conscious Discipline Corner:

At the Parent Meetings:

  • Parents received the "Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline" book at the January parent meeting. Parents focused on Encouragement during this meeting!

  • Remind yourself at least five times per day, "What I focus on, I get more of." Remind yourself of this when you wake up, at meals, at bedtime and whenever you are upset (Easy to love, Difficult to Discipline, p. 35)

General Reminders of why we do what we do:

Consciously breathing (by being a STAR) releases toxins from the body, improves the immune system, balances the nervous system, turns off the stress response, facilitates weight loss, helps release unhealthy memories and stifled emotions, and integrates our brain to engage the higher centers for optimal functioning. (Feeling Buddies Curriculum p. 70)

Love travels from the worthy to the worthy. To extend love to others, you must love yourself. (Easy to Love Difficult to Discipline, p.10)

Discipline isn't something you do to children; it's something you develop within them. (Becky Bailey)
