Re-Tweeting a Facebook post praising our team

Well it's not really re-tweeting, but it's like that. As last week was Teacher Appreciation Week, the parent of a student at the Middle School posted this and I thought it would be nice to share with the entire community. This is posted by Dorene Halsey mom of Isaiah Halsey, CPE II 6th grader.

This is from the Principal, Assistant Principal all of the teachers, assistant teachers, Paras, Parents association, school health and groundskeepers. If I forgot anyone we thank you too!!!! A special shout out to Naomi, Bill (Assistant Principal at the Middle School), Matt, Yael, Dre, Clarissa, Yhanne, Taylor, Brandy and Isaiah you guys rock. The BioBus was a great success

All students in grades 2 - 6 had the opportunity to visit the BioBus on May 5th or 6th. The BioBus research grade mobile science lab is a refurbished partially solar- and biofuel-powered 1974 transit bus with over $100,000 of microscopes. Students in grades 2 and 3 looked at Itty Bitty Bug Bodies, 4th and 5th graders looked at Microscopic Ecosystems and for our 6th graders, Cells, cells, cells. Special thanks to Natalia Holtzman (mom of Ella and Cassie) for helping us set this up.

Celebrating 35 Years of Progressive Education at CPE II Wednesday, June 8th

Parents at CPE II have the opportunity to see and hear about what is happening in their own child's classroom. On Wednesday, June 8th, however, parents will be able to walk through the rooms and halls of our school to get a broader view of what happens in our school. Starting in the late afternoon (exact details are forming) you will be able to walk through our classrooms and see a variety of student work. Middle School students and their work will be too. The walk-around will take place from 4:30 to 6. The evening will culminate in a dinner at 6PM. Please save the date.
