We want to hear from you!
Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families, students, and staff members about their school experience. This year, the school district is giving Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) to get feedback on nine characteristics of high-performing schools. You can learn more here.
Here are key dates and valuable information regarding the survey process for our families, students, and staff:
January 4-20, 2023: Staff Surveys are open. (An email was sent to each employee.)
January 19-February 3, 2023: Student Survey is open for students in grades 3-12. (This survey will be available in the Student Portal.)
February 28-March 10,2023: Family Survey is open. (An email will be sent, via School Messenger, containing the link to the survey on February 28. The survey—available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese— will also be available in the Parent Portal.)
Area 2 Reflections Awards Ceremony 2023
Come join a night of fun and festivities. Join in to celebrate the advancing artist of Area 2 Council of PTA. There will music, refreshments, art work to view, and lots of celebrations for our students. This year’s attire theme is shine bright. Gear up in your brightest, shiniest, most colorful, and unique clothing and accessories. If it makes a statement wear it!

The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts program designed to give students an outlet for creative expression. It is an opportunity to explore the cultural arts while challenging their imagination. Students interpret each year’s theme in the categories of dance, choreography, film, visual arts, photography, literature, and musical composition.
Martin Luther King Jr., Day
Monday, January 16 is a student and staff holiday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr., Day. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Don't forget you are invited to attend the United Ebony Society Annual MLK Parade. The parade is January 16th 2023, starting at 12 pm. The parade will be followed by an indoor celebration at Central Gwinnett High School.
