An Invitation from Dr. Kopicki
Dear Linden Elementary School Families,
Please join me in the Linden library on Monday, October 14th from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. for this school year’s first “Community Connections” meeting.
Last year, we initiated these meetings in order to encourage frank conversations about a shared vision for the future of our schools. I was grateful for the feedback and ideas that our families shared and I look forward to this year’s sessions! I hope you can find time to attend.
A video introduction may be seen below or on the News & Community Connections page of the CBSD website.
Stay Well,
John J. Kopicki, Ed.D.

TOMORROW IS OUR INAUGURAL TEAM BUILDING DAY! Activities will be outdoors - Students should dress accordingly and don't forget to wear your "ONE" shirt.
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 10th, Linden staff and students will participate in a morning of TEAM BUILDING activities while celebrating unity, diversity and being the ONE for others. We will have fun, wear our ONE shirts, build relationships with each other and use social skills and life skills such as teamwork, creative thinking, problem-solving and cooperation.
Please note this is a school-wide experience for Linden staff and students only. Parents should not attend this event but should ask their child(ren) to share their team building experience at home and maybe replicate with the family!
Coming Soon! Linden's 5th Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Linden's 5th annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest is a great way to show your creativity! Once again, Linden will be holding our Pumpkin Decorating Contest to help our Linden Student Activity Fund. Our students have had an enormous amount of fun showcasing their artistic skills while helping those who may need a helping hand in our Linden Community. We hope to see our hallways once again lined with amazing pumpkins! Please click here for more information.

Central Bucks School District Elementary Health Curriculum
Dear Central Bucks School District Parents and Guardians,
As part of the Central Bucks School District Elementary Health Curriculum, a unit entitled Tobacco, Alcohol, and Other Drugs is taught to pupils in grades K-6. The primary purpose of this program is to educate the children on the negative impacts of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs, as well as the impact of negative peer influences.
Your child’s teacher will teach researched-based lessons developed by Central Bucks teachers and certified school nurses using HealthTeacher.com as a resource. In order to deliver a consistent, cohesive curriculum, all Central Bucks teachers will deliver this curriculum during Red Ribbon Week, October 19-30. Course level goals and objectives can be found on the school district’s website Elementary Health and Physical Education Curriculum page.
A PDF version of the PowerPoints (instructional curriculum) used in the classrooms can be viewed on the school district's website Health and Physical Education page. Should parents wish to have their child excused from the program, they should send a written request to the attention of the principal.
As always, please do not hesitate to call your elementary school with any questions.
