From the Principal
Thank you to our wonderful students. They have worked so hard to reach goals in reading and math. The students of today will continue to be presented with new ways of learning as they continue their K-12 educational journey. I am so proud of the growth our students have made and they should celebrate all that they have accomplished during this school year. They continue to teach us every day and inspire us to be better than yesterday.
Thank you to our committed, dedicated, and caring staff. I am so impressed by the teachers and support staff for showing up everyday to go the extra mile to reach kids, and to help each other. I feel so fortunate to work with a group of adults who put students first every day.
Finally, thank you to our parents for sharing the gift of your children with us this school year and your support in an unprecedented time for education. We wish you a safe and happy summer and look forward to seeing you in the fall. Attached is the calendar for the 21-22 school year and be on the lookout for Back to School information in August.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karn

Literacy Tip
Reading Focus: Comprehension | Grade: 3-5
Here’s a great idea from Fun Reading Comprehension Activities for Kids | Funderstanding: Education, Curriculum and Learning Resources
After your child has read a favorite book, have them identify the 4 main parts: Characters, Plot or Activity, Conflict and Resolution.
From these four parts, have them create a 4-part comic book retelling the story in an interesting way!
They can draw their comic strip on a large piece of paper or make a 4-page booklet.
They can color, decorate, or add text to make their story come alive!
