Flu Prevention Tips!
THERE ARE EVERYDAY PREVENTIVE ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE TO STOP THE SPREAD OF
GERMS. THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION RECOMMENDS THE
FOLLOWING:
1.) Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue if you sneeze or cough and throw tissue
away.
2.) Wash your hands often with soap and water.
3.) AVOID TOUCHING your eyes, nose, and mouth. Germs get into your body this way.
4.) Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
5.) Stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone, except to get medical
care, if you are sick with a flu-like illness.
6.) Limit contact with others as much as possible when you’re sick to avoid spreading
the flu.
7.) Remember: as soon as the vaccine is available, everyone 6 months of age and older should get
a yearly flu shot.
DON’T LET THE FLU GET YOU! Protect yourself---and others.
Low and no cost flu shots are available at the Lexington and Richland County Health Departments call 855-472-3432 to schedule appointments. Flu shots are also available at local pharmacies and no prescription is needed for anyone 12 years or older.
PLEASE STRIVE TO BE ON TIME!
The first bell rings at 7:45 AM followed by the tardy bell at 7:50 AM. Please strive to be on time as students start their day by unpacking, choosing lunch choices and getting ready for classroom instruction. Teachers are ready to begin instruction at 7:50!
So set those alarm clocks and be on time!
Please make sure to put your child's name inside of jackets, lunch boxes and water bottles. Lost and found turns into a huge pile during these next few months. Lots of sweatshirts, coats, and jackets go unclaimed. It helps getting items returned when we see a name inside. If you'd like to come search for missing items, please stop by front office and check in.
Quick Pay for Student Fees (this is not for lunch accounts).
