Baker Elementary Principal Update
Baker Family
It is with mixed emotions that I send this email to you to let you know that I will not return as the principal at Baker Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. I have enjoyed the past three years serving the Baker community. You all have made such a huge impact on me. It is a blessing to come and serve this campus each day and that is why this decision has been a difficult one. I have been honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Principal of the Brenda Calhoun Early Childhood School for the 2023-2024 school year. This is the first school of Prosper ISD strictly for early childhood students. I have a passion for early childhood education, and I have been able to see my own children grow and benefit from early childhood education. I am excited to have the opportunity to be able to cultivate the first part of a child’s educational journey. How children view learning sets the trajectory to become lifelong learners. I look forward to setting the tone for how truly amazing public education can be in Prosper ISD for families and students.
I am thrilled to announce that Mrs. Alissa Andrews, the current principal of Sam Johnson Elementary, has been named principal for the 2022-2023 school year of Baker Elementary. I have had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Andrews as both a teacher and administrator. She is a student-centered educator who has been a tremendous asset to Prosper ISD.
Thank you for all the support you have shown me and Baker Elementary over the past three years. I look forward to finishing out the year strong and making memories with our students, staff, and families. Baker Elementary is in great hands under the leadership of Mrs. Alissa Andrews. Thank you so much for your partnership and support.

Baker Family
Hello, Baker Elementary family! My name is Alissa Andrews, and I am truly honored to serve as the principal of Baker Elementary beginning with the 2023-24 school year.
Please know that it is my mission to serve the students, families, and staff members of Baker Elementary and to provide a wonderful educational experience for all. This is a journey that takes all of us in order to achieve complete success.
It is my belief that all students can learn, and it is our job to ensure that they do. While academics are of utmost importance, it is just as important to focus on the whole child and help them succeed emotionally and socially as well.
I am looking forward to meeting and working alongside each of you!
