Habitat of the Red Tailed Hawk

The Red Tailed Hawks are found in most open spaces across the continent. The build their nests high in the tops of trees and on perches in cliffs.

Red Tailed Hawks are normally a dark brown across the back with a pale underside and clay red tail

Unusual Behaviors and adaptations

Unusual Behaviors- they travel in wide circles in the sky without flapping their wings and have very long, slow controlled dives

Adaptation- quiet, woodland colors to blend in, and really powerful beaks and talons
