Genius Hour at AHS
June 4, 2015
Students have been working hard for months and they're ready to share with the world.
Students from Arlington High School have been actively working on research projects that have taken them out of the classroom and into the real world. The project is based on Google's 80/20 principle in which engineers spend 80% of their time on assigned projects and 20% of their time on self-directed projects aimed at benefiting the company as a whole. Classrooms around the world, from K-12, have adopted this philosophy, focusing more and more on inquiry-driven, project-based assessments. On Thursday, students from various classes will present their projects to a wider audience.
