NFDL Curriculum
Several meeting invitations went out to continue our work with reviewing standards and identifying priority standards. More invitations will be coming out soon; this work will continue into the summer and during next school year.
Please click this link for the work that will be taking place over the next 3-5 years. This document outlines 3 phases that make up the process.
Content area teams will be contacted about the standards they are using for their subject. The purpose of this is to have a clearly defined standards for all content areas K-12.
NFDL Assessment
Our district uses a Balanced Assessment System approach (summative, benchmark, formative) to assessing student learning. We value multiple measures of data, as opposed to using one source of information.
- ACCESS Testing window opens December 4th & closes February 2nd
Local Benchmark Assessments/Screeners
- Winter will be the next checkpoint for these assessments
Formative Assessments
- How do you know what skills your students have or don't have in-between testing periods?
- If a parent, teacher, administrator, or board member asked for this, what would you say?

We believe in using instructionally sound practices to impact student learning, not to impact the Effectiveness Project. If we do this, our work in Frontline will take care of itself.
