Vision: Academic Excellence and Success
From Mr. R's Desk
Just recently, I started a countdown to our first EOC of 2019. Believe me when I say that I dislike countdowns. We are in a profession that we need to make every day count regardless of the month and the day of the week. We cannot let up and start counting down towards the summer break but rather make it a point to have impactful lessons. By now, everyone should know that students have a desire to be engaged and it is our responsibility to ensure that this is happening in every classroom.
Yes, our English I EOC is on April 9, 2019. Please use the remaining days wisely. Our kids deserve you best lessons, not dittos and/or worksheets.
One last thing, remember #WeAreRioHondo! This is our school, our students, our lessons, our community, our parents, our athletic program, our band, our cheerleaders, our ROTC, our FFA, our teachers, our building, and our report card. Our success and/or failure is solely on us; no one else. Realize, that the more we work as a TEAM, the better off we will be.

- Do you get up early to prepare for the day OR sleep in & rush?
- Do you have a positive attitude when things don’t go your way OR do you moan & groan?
- Do you smile & say, “good morning” to colleagues OR do you pass quickly?
